Wine & Food Pairing: A New England Summer on Thursday, July 16th

Let your tastebuds rejoice and join Running Hare Vineyard for a 5 course wine and food pairing experience! You will be guided through each course and wine pairing as you enjoy the scenery of the vineyard. This is an exclusive event you won't want to miss! This event will take place inside our Tuscan Villa. Please arrive before 6:00 PM to get settled before the tasting begins.

Please note that tasting glassware is not included in the ticket price. If you would like to keep your tasting glass, it will be available for purchase at the bar following the event.

Course 1

Traditional New England Clam Chowder with Oyster Crackers

Paired with Blanco

A taste of Maryland sunshine, this white blend opens with a fragrant honeysuckle nose, transitioning to a refreshing tartness of cantaloupe and peach, and ultimately leaving a smooth, elegant impression on the palate.

Course 2

Summer Garden Salad with Grilled Chicken Breast, Maple Glazed Pecans, Goat Cheese, and Cranberry Maple Vinaigrette

Paired with Full Bloom

A fruit-forward expression of traditional French rosé, this wine has a nose of spring florals and honey and bursts with strawberry and white cherry flavors. Its' well-balanced profile makes it a delightful choice for any season.

Course 3

Mini Lobster Roll

Paired with Sauvignon Blanc

Delicate aromas of honeysuckle and ripe melon lead to a crisp palate bursting with flavors of honeydew and bright citrus, finishing with a zesty hint of grapefruit.

Course 4

New England Clam Boil (Clams, Mussels, Shrimp, Sausage, Lobster Tail, Corn on the Cob, and Potatoes) from the Calvert Crabs Steamer Trailer served with Homemade Cornbread

Paired with Vidal Blanc

Offers subtle aromas of caramel and wafer. The palate is dominated by citrus notes, complemented by the crisp tartness of granny smith apples.

Blueberry Lattice Pie

Paired with Jack Rabbit Red

This unique Concord and Rougeon blend presents a gentle sweetness, intertwined with dark berry nuances, and a crisp, tart grape finish.
